What we are
- A plain-English research library for homeowners about to spend $8,000–$40,000 on new siding.
- A small editorial team that aggregates public government data, cites every statute, and labels anything directional as such.
- Calculators that turn published cost ranges into a rough number for your house, run entirely in your browser.
- Free for homeowners. No account, no form, and nothing about you is sold or shared.
What we’re not
- Not a siding contractor. We do not install, repair, or inspect siding ourselves.
- Not a referral or quote service. We do not take quote requests or pass homeowners to contractors.
- Not an insurance adjuster or a public adjuster, and not a substitute for one on your claim.
- Not an engineer, and not a licensed professional who has looked at your home. Verify any contractor’s license, insurance, and reviews before you sign.
Until September 2026 the site also offered a quote-request form. It has been removed; the few requests submitted before then are kept only as records, as our privacy policy explains.
